Privacy Policy.

Last updated 3 October 2026. How we collect, use and protect your information, in line with South Africa's POPIA.

Who we are

Lead Legends ("we", "us") is a digital marketing studio in South Africa. We are the "responsible party" for the personal information described here.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name or website (optional) and your message.
  • Newsletter: your email address and the fact that you agreed to receive it. We also see whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can send more useful content.
  • Emails you send us: your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write, kept in our business mailbox.
  • Website use: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous information about how the site is used, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. See the Cookie Policy.

We do not collect special personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you hire us, to do the work (contract).
  • To send the newsletter, only if you ticked the box to say yes (consent). You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
  • To understand which pages help people and improve the website (our legitimate interest, and only with your consent for analytics cookies).
  • To keep the site secure and stop spam.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run the site, and they may process your information on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, security and spam checks.
  • MailerLite: newsletter sign-ups and email delivery.
  • Web3Forms: delivers contact form messages to our business mailbox.
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online): our business email, where your messages and our replies are stored.
  • Google (Google Analytics and Tag Manager): website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Our site also links to our profiles on social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. If you follow those links, the platform's own privacy policy applies.

Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it or delete it;
  • stop using it for marketing, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier.

Email us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we can.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and form details are sent securely to our email provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we will tell you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects you.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
